The fourth of July held many great opportunities for our Texan youth groups. They woke up knowing they were heading to “The Bridge” to distribute food, clothing, personal care, and the gospel to the homeless community.

As they showed up to the bridge, they were directed to move groceries from a truck to pellets. They passed the goods down two large fireman lines until each pellet was taller than most of the youth.

Afterward, they were assigned to hand out as many goods to each person once the service was over.

While the youth were busy working, the homeless men, women, families, and children began to show up.

They were given a lunch to eat while the worship service and gospel was being preached. The pastor gave an alter call where homeless men and women stepped forward with joy-filled tears to be prayed over.

All that was left to do was to give the homeless food and goods. Each youth took on their specific task with a serious yet loving manner.

After clean up, “The Bridge” organization called all the volunteers together to thank and pray over.

Our Texan youth went to watch fireworks that night to celebrate the Fourth of July.
