This week has been a phenomenal week because we got much closer in our relationship with God. We met a lot of new and different people. We love Adventures in Missions because they helped us realize that it’s not always about ourselves, it’s about listening to god and helping others. People tend to forget how fortunate they are to have a roof over their heads and food on their table.
Robert and Karen were awesome leaders. Robert is so funny. We saw God shine through him in the amazing talent he has when he plays his guitar and sings different songs to praise God. Karen is a very amazing lady and is very sweet. We see God shine through her in everything she does and the way she prays.
When we feed the homeless with the organization People Loving Nashville, it really broke our hearts when we saw all those people that were struggling to support their families and kids. We really saw God in all of the different types of people we interacted with. Even though it felt very awkward to talk to the people and get to know them, every person in our group did it and it changed their lives.
When we attended the second ministry, The Bridge, we found it as sad as the first one. This was because there were twice as many homeless people there than the night before, including a lot more children. This broke our hearts.
We believe that every child and church that has the chance to work with Adventures in Missions should. It will change your life in every way possible. It will get you in a closer and stronger relationship with the Lord.
