On the day of the trip I woke up feeling really bad I felt like the devil was trying to prevent me from going on the mission trip I was getting really upset, but I prayed and prayed trying not to feel sick and feel bad.
My mom was getting ready to call my group leader, Mrs. Lisa, saying that I wasn’t going to go. But I woke up and I told my mom not to call her because I needed to go. I was really excited about this trip and I wasn’t going to let the devil push me down.
So I got to the church and we left on the bus. When we arrived at the church in Nashville I went upstairs to my room I wasn’t feeling that great again so I prayed and prayed. That night I felt a little better.
After breakfast the next morning, we went to the park to do VBS. When no one showed up we changed locations to the splash park.
I was thankful that we went because that day I met someone very special. She was a 9 year old little girl who told me a story that I will never forget. She had told me some very secret parts of her story. When I found out all I said to her was Jesus loves you and never forget that. Then I was able to pray for her.
When I got back to the church, things changed. I felt so different. I knew why god made me feel better; it was so I could meet that girl. That was just an amazing experience.
